Corfu is a small town of 30 000 inhabitants, very lively all year round. The city received the Venetian imprint, with small alleys full of charm, lots of restaurants, cafes and small shops of every kind. There prevails a Mediterranean atmosphere with a very friendly feel.

This stylish house in the countryside has a very strategic position as it is only a 10 minutes drive away from Corfu town. Moreover, the closest beaches are only 20 minutes away. La Chataîgne is located on a peaceful green hillside, covered with olive trees. Most noteworthy, it offers fabulous views over the sea and the old fortress of Corfu. Therefore, guests can relax in a natural and very private surrounding whilst being close to the comforts of a lively Mediterranean town.

The house

La Chataîgne is a place where guests can relax completely. There are several terraces, shaded pergolas and sitting spaces that offer plenty of options for outdoor meals and drinks. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the large swimming pool (12mx6m) or relax on sun lounges in the very spacious garden and lounge area. Because it was built with natural materials such as stone, wood and marble, the space provides a soft atmosphere with a very Mediterranean vibe.
The house was designed by an architect who achieved the perfect balance between harmony, quality and comfort. The space unfolds on three main levels. The first level is entirely open-plan and is extremely spacious. It includes a big hallway that leads to the west terrace, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room that opens up to the east terrace. The second level includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a powder room. Finally, the third level includes the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom as well as a very spacious office with a 180 degrees view over the sea.
